We go timed in 2023!

2023 The Welsh Edition

A date for all your diaries in 2023, 10-11th March !

For our first event in 2023 we are branching out and giving many previous entrants what they asked for in our survey.

The first of two events in 2023 will see Rally Revival Cymru take place on the 9/10th March with our base in the Historic market town of Mold North Wales. A town and area steeped in rallying history it will be the ideal base for our 36 hour adventure. Yes 36 hours, and we intend to make it some of the most intense rallying you've ever done, a true BIG event for the clubman with cars that comply to Motorsport UK Historic Road Rally and Road rally regulations.

A new concept for Wales but harking back to the glory days of events like the Targa Rusticana and Welsh Rally Retro and the Tour of Wales. We are offering a combined Historic & Targa rally but with a twist! Whilst there will be the tests many crews have become used to on daylight Targa rallies (over ten so far), for the first time in Wales both Historic and Targa crews will have regularity sections in between some tests!!

Friday 10th will see crews complete scrutineering and documentation checks before a 14.00hrs start. They will then head into a number of tests to get warmed up, from here we have the challenge of darkness and regularity on the lanes of North East Wales.

Another first we believe for this kind of event is a ceremonial overnight halt. Crews will take a short run back to Mold where we aim to close off the main street to enable family and fans to view the cars up close before you are interviewed as you clock into the main control by 10pm. Something many of you will not have experienced before and one for the photo album.

Saturday brings a bright and early start and almost straight into two tests before a busy morning of regularity and tests on the way to our lunch halt. A chance to swap stories and enjoy a quick relaxation period before it's back out into more of the same.

Our finish is intended to be around 17.00hrs before we all get a chance to get changed and enjoy an evening meal from 19.30hrs coupled with our awards ceremony (all included in the entry fee)

We are conscious that there's lots of firsts for everyone in our new event and realise cars will be under strain, to that end we've contracted the assistance team from Brit Assist to help with any mechanical woes you have en route (included in entry fee also)

Bryn Pierce Clerk of the Course ''We're hugely excited to bring this new concept to Wales as it harks back to some of the real classics from days gone by. We hope crews enjoy it as much as we hope and that it becomes a firm fixture on people's calendars going forward''

Full details and entries will be open in late September with details released a week in advance.

For the stage rally cars, we will have a separate event for you late on in 2023!
